Experience Is Worth Something
FTE camp counselors have been helping students experience the world first hand since 2011. It is our privilege to show your child a side of Singapore they might otherwise not get a chance to see.
Stuart Alexander
Founder/Director
Stuart has been travelling South-East Asia ever since he moved to Taiwan in 1993. He has been to Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand. It is this love for travel and specifically adventure travel that inspired him to start FTE Camps in 2011. It is his personal experience that the benefits of travel are multiplied when living in a foreign location and interacting with the local people in a fundamental way. Stuart has taken campers to Canada for a month-long summer camp since 2011 and has helped hundreds of students experience the beauty of Taiwan. He now wants to expose the amazing green spaces of Singapore to the next generation of young travelers.
Sophie Chiou
Associate Director/Administration
Sophie has an amazing ability to take the endless details involved with travelling overseas and organizing them in a timely, elegant manner. Sophie helps make the registration process simple for parents and students. From booking the plane tickets and arranging travel papers to compiling packing lists and communicating important reminders, Sophie will be your contact from the beginning to the end. When your children are in Singapore, Sophie will be in Taiwan, available at any time to give you an update or answer your questions.
Selina Cheng
Senior Counselor/Camp Promotions
Selina has shared her love for camp with countless students and parents. It is this love for camp and an endless supply of energy that makes Selina the natural choice for chaperoning a group of students to Singapore. Selina will be with the campers 24-7. She has experience dealing with homesick kids and will do everything she can to keep them busy and involved so they can focus on their adventure. She is also trained in first aid and will take care of minor bumps and bruises.

He has been an organizer for the Singapore Scout Association for years and he recently held the post of head consultant for PWC Singapore. He has been invited to be the trainer for camp administrators at Asian conferences and he holds certification for kayak instruction and other outdoor skills. We are grateful to Mr. Kiu for his hospitality, enthusiasm and amazing experience in outdoor leadership programs.
